The Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) is the peak body for Management Consultants in Australia, if you are a Management Consultant you could benefit by its membership.

Many of us are frustrated by people who are relatively unqualified, and call themselves Management Consultants. Wouldn't it be great if customers sought out Qualified Consultants, and being a member of the IMC gives you this status. Membership is not purely by your cheque book, as you do have to be assessed and reference checked to become a member. An even higher level is achievable by becoming a CMC - Certified Management Consultant - a world recognised qualification.
 
The main advantages of joining the IMC are listed in the attached brochures (IMC Brouchure 1 & IMC Brouchure 2). As well as these benefits, there is camaraderie with other people in similar consulting functions to us, and many of the issues are common to us all.
